What follows are photos taken of the memorials in the churchyard at the Milton Damerel Methodist Church on 8 & 9 June, 2009. These are being transcribed and inserted in the order in which the photos were taken (from the gate, row by row)  and should be completed by 21 November 2011.

In loving memory of ANN JENKINS of this parish who died Sept. 18, 1889 aged 93 years.

Her end was peace

In loving memory of FREDERICK G.P. SANDERS of Tor View in this parish: who passed into the morning light 3rd March, 1906 aged 55 years.

Loved ones,

But in some brighter clime

Also of MARY GRACE beloved wife of the above who died July 12th 1930 aged 81 years.

And there shall be no night there

ELSIE  daughter of F.G.P. & M.G. SANDERS of this parish died 20th of October 1892 aged 5 years and 9 months.

In loving memory of GRACE wife of FRANCIS RIDGE of this parish who fell asleep in Jesus Nov. 20, 1866 aged 49 years.

Her last hope was to rest in Jesus

Sacred to the memory of FRANK RIDGE born July 10th 1836, died Nov. 12th 1906 for forty-five years woodman on the Stanhope Estate.

Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord

This stone was erected by James, 7th Earl Stanhope.

In loving memory of AMELIA RIDGE of Gratton in this parish who passed away July 4th 1927 aged 59 years.

The world may change from year to year

And friends from day to day

But never shall the one we loved

Her years of probation were few

But Jesus had taught her to pray

In loving memory of JOSHUA PAIGE of West Cottages in this parish who fell asleep in Jesus April 18th 1937 aged 82 years. He was a steward also teacher in this Sunday School for over 50 years.

Also of JOHN HENRY the beloved son of DANIEL and SUSANNAH PARSONS who died at West Wonford 12th June 1888 aged 23 years.

The temple of the soul is broken,

Sacred to the memory of FANNY the beloved wife of JAMES JENKINS of this parish: who (Suddenly) departed this life on the 2nd day of Aug. 1879 aged 54 years.

Death overtook Her unawares,
